My boys, Oatley and Arlo, are nearly four now, and raising them has made me realise just how much goes into properly caring for a dog.

Loving them is the easy part. But the everyday things no one tells you about, that’s the challenge.

Who knew water bowls could get so dirty and empty so fast? Or how quickly their nails grow? Or the amount of brushing their hair needs? And then the costs on top of that, vet visits, groomers… it adds up so quickly.

I love them with all my heart and would do anything to keep them healthy. But I knew there had to be a better way to do all this.

So I started figuring it out.

I looked into ways to care for them at home, tried different products, tested things myself, and worked out what actually made things easier without compromising their health.
